We recommend beginning every corrective color service with Malibu C Color Disruptor and CPR to naturally remove unwanted artificial pigment without compromising the integrity of the hair or lifting natural hair color.

In this video, we will walk you through the service on a model with previous direct dye whose desired end result was to go back to her natural color. In this example, we chose to begin the corrective color with Color Disruptor and CPR to remove as much of the unwanted pigment from oxidative and non-oxidative dyes as possible without further compromising the integrity of the midshaft and ends.

Features & Benefits of Products Used

1. Malibu C Un-Do-Goo Shampoo: This gentle, 100% vegan, sulfate-free wellness clarifying shampoo removes product resins while eliminating excess oils, buildup, and dirt from the hair without stripping the hair of its natural moisture. You want to get a good lather by massaging the product into the wet hair and scalp. It is important to give the hair a good scrub and deliver a deep detox for a pristine clean.

2. Malibu C Color Disruptor: Its dual-base formula helps loosen and disrupt stubborn color molecules for easier removal when paired with Malibu C CPR. It is formulated with natural ingredients, it is not an artificial pigment remover on its own and must be paired with CPR, it is a non-oxidative product and cannot damage the hair, it is ideal for both oxidative and non-oxidative dyes.

3. Malibu C CPR: Its Antioxidant Vitamin Complex naturally removes unwanted artificial pigment from the hair without compromising the integrity of the hair or lifting natural hair color. By activating the product on the spot directly before application, you receive maximum potency of the active ingredients. You can expect to see 1-3 levels of artificial pigment removal in just one application. This product releases unwanted pigment from both oxidative and non-oxidative hair colors, contains no harsh odors, removes metallic minerals, and will not re-darken hair color.

The purpose of beginning the corrective color service with Color Disruptor and CPR is to remove as much of the artificial pigment as possible without oxidizing and compromising the integrity of the hair. Once you have removed as much artificial pigment as possible with this first step, it is then recommended to use DDL XL if additional pigment removal is desired.

Malibu C DDL XL: DDL XL is an oxidative product and does have the ability to shift natural hair color and compromise the hair’s integrity. The model in the video requested to go back to her natural level and therefore, DDL XL was not necessary.

Follow up with your desired color application and end the service with a hair reconstructor or favorite Malibu C conditioner.
