  • Maintain and file purchase orders of goods ordered and received. 
  • Work with vendors to order materials needed and negotiate the best price and lead times. 
  • Prepare and process purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update the product information in the system including items, descriptions, and pricing. 
  • Maintain and monitor warehouse stock agreements with suppliers.
  • Request samples and coordinate with the team for testing requirements and maintain results.  
  • Communicate with vendor on any quality issues and resolutions. 
  • Complete all other reasonable tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Work with Management on sustainable packaging.
  • Monitor forecasted items, evaluate inventory levels of components and provide recommendations for purchase orders.
  • Assist in establishing minimum order levels to obtain best pricing at (price breaks).
  • Continue sourcing for current components to help cost savings, and bring recommendations to the team when possible.
  • Receive and retain samples from vendors for new projects or component changes.
  • Communicate and work closely with Project Manager(s) on any new projects.
  • Attend New Project Meetings, provide updates and recommendations on components.
  • Attend all meetings with customers regarding new projects as requested by Project Manager(s).
  • Maintain spreadsheets as needed, including, but not limited to tracking components being held at suppliers and component sourcing quotes.
  • Utilize software, including Sage100 to run, review, and maintain updates on open Purchase Orders.
  • Email all price increases and/or decreases received from vendors to all appropriate managers.


  • Work experience in a purchasing capacity
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Attention to detail
